Jeannine Bosseler – Preschool Director

I come to you as preschool director with 30 years of experience in the early childhood field – I’ve taught preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and have many years of administering an early childhood program program, including a NAEYC accredited program for eight years. My husband Russ and I have lived in Broomfield for 20 years. We enjoy the outdoors, camping, boating, and fishing. In my spare time, I love to curl up with a good novel, romance and mysteries being my favorites. I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s learning and providing an environment warm with the Christian spirit where your child will learn and grow in God’s love.

Sara Godwin – Assistant Director/Pre-K Teacher

I have been with Apple Tree since 2007.  My education experience was originally in the field of nursing and as an EMT. When I decided that I wanted to go back to work after being a stay at home mom, teaching seemed like a logical and exciting fit. I recently finished my Director Credential Certification at Front Range Community College.  In addition to teaching for Apple Tree, I teach for BUMC in their Wacky Wednesday Program and for their annual Vacation Bible School. I have two children aged 17 and 15 and in my free time I enjoy camping, hiking and spending time with my family.

Susan Colyn – Assistant Teacher

Susan is a Colorado native. She’s married with two grown children, a son and a daughter. Susan has been with Apple Tree for 8 years. Susan has also been involved in childcare for Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) for 17 years. She has also provided daycare for 12 years. She loves to take walks and work out at the gym. Other hobbies include reading and working in the yard when time allows. Family time is very important. Susan says, “I’m looking forward to a super year being part of such an awesome team.”

Julie Delano – Assistant Teacher

My name is Julie Delano. I am so excited to be coming to school with your children this year. I have previously been a preschool teacher at Life Christian Academy and at the Early Learning Preschool in the Paul Derda Recreation Center. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University and Early Education Certification from Front Range Community College. I have lived in Broomfield for 16 years, moving from Alaska where I grew up. I enjoy skiing, hiking, camping, traveling and doing lots of arts and craft activities. My goal this year is to develop a relationship with your child so he/she can grow through their senses and hands on experiences throughout the year. I look forward to getting to know each parent as we both walk this path together and each child can learn the love of Christ.

Suzanne Von Ruden – Threes and Enrichment

Hello.  My name is Suzanne Von Ruden.  I am very excited to start my 3rd year at Apple Tree.  I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland.  I have taught children ages 2-8 years old in both preschool and elementary.  Colorado for has been my home for 22 years.  I have  2 children, a daughter, Jenna 11, and son Ryan 7.   While being a stay at home mom  I have been active with children in other places : I taught Sunday School for 3 years, was a girl scout troop leader for 6 years, and I am currently a den leader for my son’s cub scout den.  When my children were younger I was a very active member of Moms Club of Broomfield South.   In my free time I  love to read, ride bikes, play games with my kids, do a variety of crafts, and visit with family.  I also enjoy RV camping with my family and our small dog Priscilla.  My love of young children makes Apple Tree a wonderful place for me to work.

Sarah Osborne – Threes and  Toddler Teacher

I’m so excited to be teaching toddlers and Threes at Apple Tree this year!  For the past three years, I have been a parent of a student at Apple Tree and enjoy the teaching side as well.  I have been a stay at home mom for the past 11 years while raising my four children.  The last two years I have been working as a preschool gymnastics coach at the rec center.  Before staying home with my children, I taught first and second grade for five years.  While obtaining a dual degree in early childhood and elementary education, I worked as a nanny, babysitter, daycare provider, and Sunday school teacher.  I have lots of experience with children.  While not teaching, I enjoy hiking, reading, exercising and camping with my husband and four beautiful children.

Beth Callahan – Threes Teacher

I’m thrilled to be starting at Apple Tree this year, teaching the Threes.  I love teaching and have been in the field of education for over 15 years.  My background includes several years as a middle/high school Spanish teacher and most recently two years as a kindergarten teacher.  The adventurous spirit, optimism, and silliness draws me to the younger students and I look forward to an amazing and fun filled year!  Outside of the classroom, my husband and I can be found at our three kids (10, 8, 6) various activities and sports.  I also enjoy camping, hiking and cooking.

Lisa Tunquist – PreK Teacher

I am so very excited to be starting my 3rd year with the Apple Tree Christian Preschool family. I am an early childhood educator with 16 years of teaching experience. I love working with preschoolers and observing the tremendous growth that happens over the year. I have worked with a variety of ages, but over the years I have found I love teaching in the 3-5 year old age range. I have a very active family! Between my husband and two grown boys, I also have two dogs named Leo and Buck. In my free time I also enjoy shopping, gardening, and cooking. I look forward to a wonderful year teaching your children.

Brenda Costa – Pre K Teacher

I am very excited to be teaching Pre K at Apple Tree this year! My background includes kindergarten through third grade teaching experience and a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education. My children are 14 and 17 and both attended Apple Tree and had a wonderful start to their education. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, cooking, and reading.

Elizabeth Butler – Enrichment and Science

This will be my fifth year at ATCPK and my fifth year teaching since returning to work.  I am thrilled to be back at ATCPK  and in among the caring, creative and talented staff.  My background includes a Masters in Elementary Ed. and seven years as an AD at an Early Childhood center. Over the years, I’ve discovered that I most enjoy working with pre-school age children.  Their curiosity and lack of inhibition makes every day a new adventure – for all of us! In the hours not at school, I am home with my husband, three kids 15, 13 & 10, and my 2 “adoptees”, whom I care for three afternoons a week.  We also share our home with a dog, guinea pig, 2 frogs and numerous fish.  I love to garden, cook and make stuff, whether that be with my table saw, glue gun or plain old paper and pens.

Christy Ryan  – Kindergarten Teacher

This is my fourth year teaching Kindergarten at Apple Tree, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this wonderful school and ministry. I come to you with ten years of teaching experience at the elementary level. My three children, Conor (10), Colin (8) and Kate (7) recently attended Apple Tree and had a blessed experience. As a parent and a teacher, there is nowhere I would rather be. I enjoy reading and traveling, as well as hiking, biking and golfing with my family.

 Leslie Veenker – Teacher Assistant

Hi! My name is Leslie Caile-Veenker and I’m so happy to be working as a Teacher Assistant at Apple Tree Preschool! I have been a stay at home mom for over 10 years and I’m finally back working with ‘the littles’ again! I have my A.A.S degree in ECE from Harper College in IL where I’m originally from. I have worked with children ages 6 wks-5 yrs through my past career as a teacher and from volunteering at all of my children’s schools. I enjoy being with children of all ages but pre-school age is my very favorite because of the wide eye excitement, silliness, messy art projects, hugs and high-fives and yes, even those occasional tears! There is nothing like it and I love it all! My husband, Matt and our 2 boys, Colin (12) and Ian (8) keep me busy when I’m not at Apple Tree. I also love to cook (especially with my kids), hike and take fitness classes. I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful team and look forward to supporting you and your amazing children!
